SEOUL -- A soundtrack for "Dark Moon: The Grey City," a digital cartoon created based on concepts of &TEAM, a nine-member multinational boy band formed by the agency of BTS, will be released in Korean, English, and Japanese. Four members of the K-pop band participated in the soundtrack which portrays the story of nine werewolves with different personalities overcoming various obstacles and stereotypes.

Hybe, BTS' agency, collaborated with Naver Webtoon, the web cartoon wing of South Korea's top web portal service operator Naver, to create a web novel and a digital cartoon for Dark Moon. Both were rolled out in December 2022.

Four members of &TEAM -- EJ, K, Nicholas, and Taki -- participated in "W.O.L.F," the soundtrack featuring a groovy vibe and deep-voiced rap. The soundtrack's Korean version will be released at 10 p.m. (1300 GMT) on March 13 on Naver Webtoon's global service. The song's Japanese and English version will be also rolled out on March 14. The soundtrack will be available on various online music services and streaming platforms starting on March 17.

&TEAM, debuted in December 2022, was formed through a Japanese and South Korean audition program called "&Audition – The Howling." The band consists of Japanese, Taiwanese, South Korean, and German members, and their debut song "Under the Skin" garnered attention, with its music video watched by over seven million people on YouTube. Group members are between 17 and 25 years old.

In South Korea, many digital novels have been adapted into web comic books. The text descriptions of web novels can be transferred to webtoon characters' lines. Hybe has showcased several webtoon and web novel content based on the worldviews of its bands, including BTS.
