SEOUL -- At MEDICA 2022, a global medical device fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, LG Electronics unveiled a light-emitting diode (LED)-based surgical monitor that clearly shows video images of affected areas and blood. Medical doctors can check various surgical information using the new device capable of simultaneously displaying multiple screens.

The mini-LED monitor distinguishes red blood and affected areas that look extremely similar. It is equipped with a wide viewing angle panel of up to 2,000 nit brightness and 178 degrees. With picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture functions, surgical information can be checked on up to four screens at a glance.

"We will provide differentiated customer experiences in the healthcare sector by promoting our medical imaging device lineup and smart hospital solution business based on superior display technology," LG Electronic's solution business director Choi Kyu-nam said in a statement on November 15.

At MEDICA 2022, LG Electronics also displayed other medical devices such as a digital X-ray detector in its exhibition room.
