SEOUL -- LG Electronics unveiled a new premium organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV that allows viewers to create a differentiated artistic space. It can be installed in such a way as to lean against or closely contact the wall. Viewers can watch a part of the screen by controlling its moving cover when extremely violent and cruel scenes appear.

The design of the new product called "OLED evo Objet Collection" broke the framework of a standardized TV installation method, appealing to premium customers who want image quality and design to enhance the quality of space. It is the artistic version of LG's OLED evo TV equipped with OLED panels that display vivid image quality.

The new TV's diagonal length is 65 inches. LG Electronics applied its "Objet" design to OLED evo TVs which have been praised by various foreign media outlets due to extremely high definition. Objet Collection allows consumers to select their own colors and materials for home appliances so that they can create harmony with the interior.

"Through the new product that incorporates the highest image quality and innovative design, we will offer a premium customer service to meet demands for top products," LG Electronics' HE marketing head Kim Sun-hyung said in a statement on December 8. Users can enjoy watching TVs as if they are appreciating an artwork in an art gallery.

The screen and moving cover are placed up and down on the square easel-type metal frame. Danish premium textile brand Kvadrat's fabric was applied to the moving cover. The speaker is mounted behind the moving cover that can be adjusted up and down. The "Line View" function shows only a part of the screen to use it as a clock or music mode even when not watching TV.

Sales will begin on December 15, carrying a price tag of 9.9 million won ($8,400).
