SEOUL -- Warner Music, an American entertainment and record label conglomerate, tied up with Airbnb, a multinational vacation rental online marketplace company, to connect K-pop with the world in a different way through an online experience program that delivers the story of K-pop industry workers to guests.

Airbnb Korea said the partnership with Warner Music Korea is aimed at shedding light on the backstage routines of K-pop artists and unraveling deep stories in the K-pop industry that lies behind spectacular performances and perfect choreography. Airbnb receives commissions for offering arrangements for lodging, primarily homestays, or tourism experiences.

"We hope that many K-pop artists who have built deep ties with Warner Music Korea will get a chance to grow further through Airbnb's platform," Airbnb Korea Country Manager Brandon Son said in a statement released on October 27. Details of cooperation will be announced later, but Airbnb Korea said that there are high expectations on great synergy effects.

"Through this cooperation, we will provide a good platform for South Korean artists to take a leap forward and help K-pop continue its sustainable growth," Warner Music Korea managing director Clayton Jin was quoted as saying.
