SEOUL -- JYP Entertainment has vowed to take legal action against fans who ignored safety guidelines to swarm over boy band GOT7 members at a Chinese airport, causing some members to fall to the ground.

"There was a situation involving artists falling over due to chaotic and illegal acts by fans who ignored staff and guidelines when members were moving through China's Qingdao Airport," JYP said in a statement uploaded onto GOT7's fan community website. It was not known who fell to the ground.

JYP vowed to take legal action against those who threatened the safety of GOT7 members, asking fans to submit evidence. "We will do our best to ensure that the safety of artists, fans and the general public is not threatened by continuous illegal activities that have gone beyond some disorder."

K-pop bands have sometimes fallen into trouble at airports and other public places due to overly enthusiastic fans. JIhyo, a member of girl band TWICE, suffered a leg injury after she was toppled over at an airport in Gimpo on December 8 when fans rushed to take photographs.
