SEOUL -- Girl band BLACK PINK has become the fastest K-pop band to garner 300 million views with its music video for "DDU-DU DDU-DU", which was released in June.
The four-member group broke the record in K-pop's history Thursday when the YouTube view count for "DDU-DU DDU-DU" surpassed 300 million in 69 days. The previous record holder was BTS whose music video "DNA" collected 300 million views in March, about five months and two weeks after the song was released.
BLACK PINK also became the first K-pop girl band to have three music videos with more than 300 million YouTube views. "BOOMBAYAH", the girls' debut song released in August 2016, and "As If It's Your Last", released in June last year, garnered more than 300 accumulated views in early 2018.
