SEOUL, Feb. 23 (Aju News) -- BTS member j-hope will release a "mixtape", full of his unique colors, for the first time in the rapper's career, according to his agency on Friday.
Bug Hit Entertainment said the 24-year-old will release his first mixtape on March 2. j-hope has written lyrics and composed songs for BTS' global hits such as "MIC Drop", "I Need You" and "Run".
In hip-hop and R&B, the term mixtape is used to describe a certain type of recordings, normally self-produced and independently released. Such mixtapes are free of charge and sometimes contain experimental music. Other BTS members such as RM and Sugar have introduced mixtapes in 2015 and 2016.
