S. Korea plans to establish more Sejong Institutes abroad

The number of overseas institutes that offer Korean language courses and cultural programs will exceed 100 soon, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said Thursday.

The number of Sejong Institutes will increase from the current 90 in 44 countries to 117 in 51 nations, the ministry said.

The government said it plans to establish 80 more Sejong Institutes abroad by 2017.
