Scoot, a budget carrier affiliated with Singapore Airlines, said Tuesday that it will operate three flights per week between Incheon and Singapore via Taiwan beginning in June.

The flight will be available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, Scoot said.

Airfare will be only 40 percent of the standard fare of the Incheon-Singapore route, the low-cost, long-haul airline said.

Scoot is the first budget carrier to launch flights between Incheon and Singapore.

It opened a Facebook page, titled “You Decide the Fare,” as part of celebrations. If more people click “Like,” the airfare will go down further, the airline said.

Scoot launched flights to and from Sydney and Gold Coast in Australia in June last year.

It said its passenger occupancy rate averages more than 80 percent.
