Samsung Electronics Co. will unveil a latest model of its Galaxy S smartphone series, Galaxy S4, on March 15, SamMobile reported on Feb. 6, quoting an unnamed source.

The company plans to send invitations for its public introduction event after the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to be held in Barcelona, Spain, later this month, SamMobile said.

SamMobile said the Galaxy S4 will be first released in Europe, and then in Asia in April and in United State, Australia and Africa in May and June.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S4 will be using the latest Samsung 8-core Exynos 5 Octa mobile processor, with the GPU using Mali-T658 (8 core). The monitor will be the 4.99-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display and the operating system will be the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean system.

A Samsung official said: "We have yet to select the date of a public introduction event for Galaxy S4."

He said Galaxy S4 will come to market in the first half of this year.
