David Viens (49), a chef and owner of ‘Thyme Contemporary Café’, who killed his wife and slow-cooked her body for 4 days, was convicted of second-degree murder.

Viens’ wife Dawn Viens went missing in 2009 and authorities could not place her body or the motive. Then in 2011, David Viens found out that he was being investigated as a possible murder suspect of his wife.

Distressed David Viens jumped off of a cliff in Rancho Palos Verdes. Surviving the jump, David Viens confessed to detectives blood-chilling details of what actually happened between him and his wife.

Viens confessed that after accidently suffocating her wife to death, he slow-cooked his wife for 4 days so her body dissolved except her skull.

Viens sentencing is scheduled on November 27.
