BMW MINI launched its foldable bicycle, the MINI Folding Bike in August 2011 in Europe and North America. It is now available to purchase in South Korea.

MINI Bike is a eco-friendly solution to the parking space problem in city centers. When it’s folded, the MINI Folding Bike fits into the back of almost every vehicle – and most definitely into the BMW MINI. When travelling into the city, simply park the car outside the overcrowded city center, then continue on the bike and relax; park and ride.

The bike is also absolutely suitable for commuters and impresses in urban travels.

The bike is built with a lightweight 7005 aluminium frame with a folding mechanism that the company claims takes just a few seconds to operate, folding along the crossbar and handlebars with the saddle and pedals folding up to further reduce the bike‘s size, the Mini Folding Bike weighs just under 11kg. Designed for city riding, the bike has 20in wheels, an eight-speed NEOS.2 shift system linked to an Sram Twist grip shift, and a transport bag which fits beneath the saddle.

The price is 85 Korean Won (US$ 900) and it’s available to purchase in any BMW MINI stores. For those who are buying the BMW MINI bike by June 30, they will be given a free MINI messenger bag.
