Hijacked South Korean sailors return home after being rescued

Seven South Korean sailors rescued from captivity by Somali pirates have returned home.

The men were among 21 Asian crew members aboard a South Korean-operated cargo ship that was hijacked by Somali pirates off the Somali ocean on Jan. 15. The rest of crews are two Indonesians and 11 Myanmar citizens are staying in Oman.

A week later after hijacked, they were rescued by South Korean commandos who killed eight Somali pirates and captured five others.

None of the crew members was injured bexcept for the South Korean captain, who was shot in the stomach by a pirate. He was brought to South Korea on Saturday.
