SEOUL -- A new multi-purpose vehicle from South Korea's Hyundai’s auto group will be equipped with futuristic design cues and space innovation. The group said the new model offers a strikingly futuristic and mysterious exterior, resembling a spaceship.
Hyundai's teaser image released on March 11 showed STARIA Premium, a high-end variant of the group's multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) brand, with future-oriented product values and streamlined design characteristics defined by one curve gesture silhouettes as well as clean and pure body volume.
Hyundai said that STARIA reflects its commitment to lead the future mobility industry and is equipped with various driver-centric features and futuristic design elements that deliver new experiences. "STARIA is Hyundai’s new MPV lineup that opens up a new mobility era," Hyundai's global design head Lee Sang-yup was quoted as saying.
STARIA Premium takes mobility to the next level, sporting premium features and variant-exclusive finishes for a more luxurious look and feel, Hyundai said. The front has a long, horizontal daytime running light and headlamps positioned underneath. The spaceship vibe is echoed by expansive panoramic windows and lower belt lines, underscoring the openness of the interior, with the height of the cabin optimized for premium comfort and convenience and making it ideal for both business and family use.
