Bang Young-sun appointed new president of Thomson Reuters Tokyo branch

SEOUL -- Thomson Reuters K.K., the Tokyo branch of international news agency Thomson Reuters, has appointed Bang Young-sun as president and representative director.

The news agency said in a press release that the new president of Thomson Reuters K.K., with abundant experience, expert knowledge and business sense in the legal industry, will focus on the legal business of Reuters' Tokyo branch. He will also lead the company in various business sectors including global trade, tax and accounting.

Bang has obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Korea University College of Law, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Washington University School of Law before working as a legal professional in the U.S. courts and various major international law firms in New York.

Bang served as the head of legal business for Thomson Reuters Korea and as the representative director for LAWnB, a Korean legal information service provider owned by the news agency.
