SEOUL -- A live video chat service was put into a test run to give quick guidance through smartphones on how to use Ttareunggi, a popular bike-sharing service, and solve problems. For real-time support, customers can connect to the live video chat using a smartphone web link.
Launched in 2015, Ttareunggi has become a favorite public transport system. Users can pick up bicycles at stations for 1,000 won ($0.85) per hour. Ttareunggi was used more than 1.3 million times in the first seven months of 2020, up 30 percent from a year ago. There are about 38,000 Ttareunggi bicycles in operation. Broken components have been frequently reported.
Seoul said in a statement on September 28 that it would launch a six-month test run of customer interaction for quick help. Other cities have benchmarked Ttareunggi.
