BTS reveals this year's schedule for 'MAP OF THE SOUL' world tour

SEOUL -- K-pop band BTS has revealed this year's schedule for a world tour named "MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR" that would cover 18 cities with the first concert to be held in Seoul on April 11. The name of one city was not disclosed.

"We are pleased to provide information on the BTS MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR, the new world tour by BTS," Big Hit Entertainment said in a post updated onto Weverse, BTS' official smartphone fan community app, on Wednesday. The group will hold 37 concerts in South Korea, the United States, Canada, Japan, England and Spain.

BTS' new album "MAP OF THE SOUL : 7" will be released on February 21. The band was the top-grossing touring group of 2019 with more than $196 million, according to American music magazine Billboard.
