SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics will release a special edition for Galaxy note 10+, the company's phablet phone released in August this year, bearing iconic images from Star Wars.

Samsung said in a statement uploaded onto its news blog on Tuesday that the company will release a Star Wars-themed special edition of Galaxy note 10+ on December 10, to celebrate the release of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker", the latest episode of the science fiction film series.

The special edition phablet phone will have a Star Wars symbol printed on the rear side while its iconic stylus pen called S Pen will bear red, which is the color of the lightsaber wielded by Kylo Ren, the main character in the Star Wars saga. The special edition will also include Galaxy Buds, a pair of wireless earphones.

Previously, Samsung had collaborated with filmmakers and entertainment companies to present fans with special editions. In 2015, Samsung released "Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition" bearing vibrant red and gold colors, the trademark Iron Man of Marvel comics. "Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition", released in 2016, carried the symbol of Batman, a popular comics and film superhero character.
