SEOUL -- The Japanese remake version of "Two Weeks", a South Korean action-thriller TV drama, will be aired by a TV channel operated by Japan's Fuji Television Network in July this year. The original drama was aired in 2013.
MBC, a South Korean broadcaster, said in a statement on Friday that Haruma Miura, a popular Japanese singer-actor, would take the main role in the remake version of "Two Weeks" to be aired by Fuji TV. The original version starred Lee Joon-gi, a South Korean actor.
"It is a great challenge to play a person who suffers from pain and regrets the past," the 29-year-old Japanese actor was quoted as saying. Miura said the remake would be the best thriller drama with a heartwarming story.
"Two Weeks" depicts a story about a man who was falsely accused of murder and desperately runs for his life to save himself and his leukemia-stricken daughter.
