SEOUL -- Dolly Parton, an award-winning legendary American country singer, has proposed collaboration with K-pop band BTS via social media. BTS has yet to respond, but its fan club has left some 9,800 comments supporting Parton's idea.

"Maybe my next #Jolene collab will be with @BTS_twt? What do y'all think?" the 73-year-old singer-songwriter tweeted, sharing a short video clip that showed BTS enjoying Parton's performance at this month's Grammy Awards. BTS attended the event as a presenter.

"Miss Parton I would definitely consider a collab with these talented country loving men! They’re quite a versatile group and are not afraid to cross genres," Twitter user "natskashi" wrote. Another user Yoonstan_oli said: "Hello Ma'am Jungkook the youngest member of the group cried during your performance. I hope there will be a collab."

Parton's popularity reached its peak in the 1970s and 1980s. Parton's 25 songs topped Billboard's country music charts and she has won nine Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards and other prestigious awards.
