SEOUL -- Lionheart Entertainment, the operator of the Global K Center, a training center for global K-pop fans, forged a partnership with STX Corp., a trading house in South Korea. The two companies agreed to revitalize Hallyu (Korean culture wave) through the center.

In return for a strategic investment by STX, the entertainment company, established in 2017, changed its name to STX Lionheart. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Hallyu training center in the northern border city of Panju is the location of Produce 101, a cable TV survival show, and offers training and short experience classes. The partnership would help STX to diversify its business portfolio into the contents business. Lionheart expects synergies with business know-how of STX, which has branches in 14 countries.
