SEOUL -- Ahead of the opening of this week's technology show, CES, in Las Vegas, Samsung Electronics unveiled a bezel-free 75-inch micro LED television that delivers unparalleled picture quality, versatility and design.

Micro LED displays consist of microscopic LEDs forming the individual pixel elements. Micro LED TV technology offers the benefits of OLED without any compromises and allows users to customize its size and shape. A year ago, Samsung unveiled a 146-inch Micro LED display. Through technical advancement, Samsung has created a 4K Micro LED display in a more home-friendly 75-inch display.

"These transformative TV displays are made up of individual modules of self-emissive Micro LEDs, featuring millions of inorganic red, green and blue microscopic LED chips that emit their own light to produce brilliant colors on screen – delivering unmatched picture quality that surpasses any display technology currently available on the market," Samsung said Monday in a statement.

"Our Micro LED technology is at the forefront of the next screen revolution with intelligent, customizable displays that excel in every performance category," Samsung's visual display business president Han Jong-hee was quoted as saying. Samsung said that flexibility in screen size allows users to customize Micro LED displays to fit any room or space and expand them to any size.
