Kia to stage global cultural marketing campaign with YG Entertainment

SEOUL -- South Korea's second-largest carmaker Kia Motors will stage a global cultural marketing campaign with YG Entertainment, the country's top entertainment agency.

Kia said in a statement Thursday that it has established a marketing partnership with YG. In their first project, Kia will become the title sponsor for the Asian concert tour of YG's girl band BLACKPINK this month. In Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore, Kia vehicles will be provided to transport the girl band.

Kia, an affiliate of Hyundai Motor, will promote its high-performance sports sedan, Stinger, with a special video clip featuring BLACKPINKB members. Kia will also establish a special promotion zone outside concert areas to display its iconic vehicles. "We will continue to collaborate with K-pop artists from other entertainment agencies," a Kia official was quoted as saying.
