SEOUL -- Without releasing much information except for a teaser image, Hyundai Motor aroused curiosity about its new luxury flagship sedan G90, which received 2,700 pre-orders on the first day of its blind date at home.
G90 is the successor of "EQ900", the top tier Genesis model installed with a highway driving assistant (HDA) system and other high-tech features. On November 8, Hyundai dropped a teaser image showing the silhouette of G90, saying it would be released on November 27.
Hyundai said in a statement Tuesday that it received 2,774 pre-orders on Monday. In an effort to promote its iconic full-sized sedan, Hyundai operates private showrooms in major cities to provide visitors with a curated information service about G90.
