SEOUL -- Aju Business Daily has agreed with NNA, an economic news outlet affiliated with Kyodo News Agency, the biggest news agency in Japan, to exchange contents.

The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in a ceremony Thursday at Aju Business Daily's headquarters in Seoul to cooperate and exchange news contents. Through the agreement, NNA readers can read contents created by Aju Business Daily and vice versa.

The ceremony was attended by some 10 officials from both companies including Aju News Corporation Chairman Kwak Young-kil, Aju Business Daily President Kim Kwang-hyun and NNA CEO Akira Iwase.

"We are very pleased to cooperate," Kwak said, calling for joint efforts to achieve a win-win. He also expressed hope that Aju Business Daily would learn how NNA made a foray into Southeast Asia.

"This agreement will reinforce our Korea-related content and provide great help to Japanese readers," Iwase said. "Because both NNA and Aju Bussiness Daily are economic news outlets, there is much to cooperate, especially in the Southeast Asian market," he said.

NNA, which is a subsidiary of Kyodo News Agency, was founded in 1995. Currently, it has 19 branches in 13 countries including China, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand. NNA provides paid services to 7,000 subscribers, including manufacturing companies and financial institutions.
