SEOUL -- Surfing the waves of K-pop that has swept over the United States and the rest of the world, Monsta X, a hip-hop boy band, will join the lineup of artists for a popular annual concert tour hosted by an American online radio station for the first time as a K-pop band.

iHeartRadio, a U.S.-based free internet radio platform, has announced through its website that the seven-member group will join the lineup of artists to perform at this year's Jingle Ball tour, an annual end-of-the-year concert. Monsta X will perform at concerts scheduled to be held in six American cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.

Rapper Psy, who led a global sensation in 2012 with his hit song "Gangnam Style" was the first K-pop solo artist to perform at the Jingle Ball tour. Monsta X would be the first K-pop group to perform at the famous concert tour.

Monsta X, which debuted in 2015, released hit songs such as HERO, JEALOUSY and Beautiful. The group is scheduled to release "TAKE.1 ARE YOU THERE?", the second official album, on October 22 and showcase new songs at the concert tour.
