SEOUL -- The operator of Hyundai department stores will open South Korea's largest virtual reality (VR) theme park targeting young tech-savvy consumers by the end of this year.
Hyundai IT&E, the entertainment and IT support wing of Hyundai Department Store Group, said that Japan's BANDAI NAMCO Amusement would provide 11 VR gaming contents. The VR theme park is located in Gangnam, one of South Korea's largest shopping districts.
BANDAI NAMCO Amusement is an amusement division of a Japanese company known for popular animation and cartoon series such as Dragon Ball Z and Gundam. The company provides gaming contents for consoles such as PlayStation 4 and arcade games using VR devices.
