SEOUL -- South Korea's up and rising female ballad duo, Bolbbalgan4, can be seen as the top choice on local music charts with "Travel", the lead song of their second mini-album "Red Diary page.2". Their achievement spells a great celebration for K-pop fans who saw boy band BTS topping Billboard 200.

Since the release of the duo's new song last Thursday, "Travel" has taken over the No. 1 position on major Korean music sites and daily charts. In just a matter of hours, their song rocketed to the top position on all real-time charts in South Korea, winning them a perfect all-kill (PAK) status.

The duo first appeared on the sixth season of Mnet music talent show "Superstar K6" in 2014 before signing a contract with Shofar Music in 2016. The duo debuted on April 22, 2016, with their single "Flight Day".

The dynamic duo consists of Ahn Ji-young and Woo Ji-yoon, who were classmates and were raised in the southeastern city of Yeongju. Since they were young, they had always dreamed of becoming singers and have since distinguished themselves through their composition.

In their recent achievement in September 2017, the duo had no trouble charming domestic fans by dominating the top three spots on six domestic real-time charts with their song "Some" and "To My Youth" from the mini-album "Red Diary page.1", according to Soompi, an English-language website providing coverage of K-pop culture.

As mentioned on allkpop, a US-based Korean pop blog, the female duo took an eight-month break and shared, "I rested and went on trips, and I think I was able to have fun making music on my time off, got a lot of inspiration, and met up with a lot of people." The duo's third solo concert series will be held on July 14 and 15 in Seoul.
