SEOUL -- "We want to be the most influential artist group in the world," Suga, a BTS rapper, revealed his ambitious plan at a showcase press event for "Love Yourself: Tear", the latest album released on May 18.

The seven-member-group, which debuted in 2013, won the "Top Social Artist" at the Billboard Music Awards on May 20 for the second year in a row. The award is given to artists who are the most influential on online communities and social media.

"I am worried and excited at the same time. First, I wish we top Billboard's singles chart and also take the first place on 'Billboard 200'," Suga said at Thursday's event. "I also like to be at the Grammy's and hope we will become the world's most influential artist group."

"I know it's near impossible to fulfill all my dreams but it is better to have a big dream, so, as I just said it, I will try my best to make my dream come true," the 25-year-old said.

JunKook spoke of his experience at the Billboard Music Awards event. "It was such an honorable moment. It was overwhelming to watch overseas fans singing along with us in Korean."

RM shared his thoughts on how the group became so successful in the international music scene. "We pursued music in the way we wanted it to be. We were aware that BTS is a performance group and tried to stick to basics," the 23-year-old rapper said.

The group leader said the way group members tried to communicate through social media with fans translating Korean songs into many languages helps BTS gain global popularity.
