American golfer Alison Lee signs sponsorship with S. Korea's Hana banking group

SEOUL, Feb. 20 (Aju News) -- American golfer Alison Lee who plays on the LPGA Tour signed a sponsorship deal Tuesday with South Korea's Hana Financial Group in a ceremony in Pattaya, Thailand.

Lee, a 22-year-old college student at the University of California, Los Angeles, turned professional in December 2014. In her strong LPGA rookie season in 2015, she played on the U.S. Solheim Cup team. Her mother is a Korean American.  

Before joining the LPGA tour last year, South Korean star Park Sung-hyun signed a two-year deal with KEB Hana Bank and agreed to wear the lender's logo on the front of her cap. Hana has also signed a similar deal with Minjee Lee, an Australian golfer of Korean parentage.

Park, Alison Lee and Minjee Lee will compete at the Honda LPGA Thailand at the Siam Country Club in Pattaya on February 22-25.
