SEOUL, Jan. 23 (Aju News) -- A trademark two-cornered hat used by French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte will be on public display at a regional festival to be hosted South Korea's southern coastal county of Buan in May, organizers said Tuesday.

The famous "bicorn" hat, purchased by South Korea's food company Harim for 1.9 million euros (2.3 million US dollars) at an auction in 2014, is considered Napoleon's  mascot along with a hand-in-waistcoat gesture. The hat had been kept by the Royal Family of Monaco.

Harim, which accounts for 30 percent of South Korea's processed chicken market, runs a factory near Buan.
