BTS, South Korea's most popular K-pop band, has earned a spot in the 2018 edition of Guinness World Records for having the world's most Twitter engagements for a music group.

Via its Twitter, Guinness said the group's name was listed on the 2018 edition of world records and congratulated BTS for its "stellar" performance at the American Music Awards (AMA) on Sunday.

BTS completely brought down the AMA house when it performed "DNA", the group's latest hit song, and received a standing ovation from the audience including many celebrities. Not only the boys pulled a huge applause at the event, they fired up Twitter, being mentioned over 20 million times on Sunday alone.

The boy band was thrown into the spotlight when it beat big-name artists such as Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez to be given the Top Social Awards at this year's Billboard Awards.
