Usually, popular makeup knowhow video contents are created by young women with unique characteristics. Such a perception was broken by a 71-year-old South Korean grandma who has attracted millions of YouTubers to her channel.

Park Mak-rye's video titled "The ideal makeup for a visit to a dentist and marketplace", a makeup knowhow sharing video uploaded earlier this year shines with an amazing view count of about two million.

Another video, "The ideal makeup for a social meeting",  garnered over 1.2 million views while other videos were watched by an average view count of about 500,000. For her contribution to YouTube as a video creator, the grandma was awarded "Silver Button", a plaque given to those who have more than 100,000 YouTube subscribers.

Park, who runs a Korean restaurant in Yongin south of Seoul, said in her video that she started her "beauty creator" job to prevent Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Old people in South Korea believe active brainwork can prevent such diseases.

Park condemns her granddaughter, who acts as her video director, for not properly taking care of her cosmetics.  "I became a melon when I tried a freesia makeup". "This is pure filth. Damn you girl. I am no longer sharing cosmetics with you ever again," Park said.

YouTubers say the charming point of Park's videos is not beauty tips but her honest and straightforward expressions spoken in a strong accent. "You are a true femme fatale," said a YouTuber. Others praised Park for producing funny videos.
