Seo Taiji to release limited vinyl version of commemorative album

Seo Taiji, a singer songwriter who led a nationwide pop boom in South Korea in the late 80s, will release a limited LP (vinyl) version of a new commemorative album celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut.

"The vinyl record will provide an analog sensibility which is rare to experience in the era of digital music source," said Seo Taiji Company through a statement on Monday. "The limited version of the commemorative album will bring cultural nostalgia for those who live the era of LPs."

Seo Taiji company added that only 2,500 copies of the limited LP version will be manufactured and will only be sold at booths located at Seo's concert in Seoul, scheduled on September 2.

The special album "Time: Traveler" will include 20 hit songs from the late 80s until the early 2000s. The limited version will also include a 48-page booklet which arranged Seo's work in a chronological order.

Seo Taiji, who debuted in 1995, is regarded as an iconic artist who is regarded as an iconic figure in the K-pop scene. BTS, a popular boy group, released a remake of Seo's 1995 hit song "Come Back Home" last month, kick starting the remake project. URBAN ZAKAPA followed with the second remake song of "Moai", originally released in 2009.
