Kia unleashes iconic 'The New Soul'

Kia Motors unveiled the new version of its iconic small-sized utility vehicle, "The New Soul", during a media conference on Monday.

According to Kia, the new model features a new 6-speed automatic transmission, curtain airbags with new roll-over incident detecting ability, and a new button ignition smart key. "The New Soul's overall quality and cost-efficiency has been improved," said a Kia official.

Kia offered the "Style Up Package", which is available for consumers who would like The New Soul with a wild touch. The package includes more aggressive looking bumpers, side seal moldings, LED fog lights, and newly designed aluminum alloy wheels.

Prices for The New Soul's gasoline model start from 17.5 million won (15,555 US dollars) up to 21.3 million won. The New Soul's diesel model is priced at 23.1 million won and the electric vehicle (EV) version is priced at 42.7 million won.

Kia's Soul series, launched in 2008, have gained popularity for its unique design and utility. The Soul went through a set of changes over the years and has become one of Kia's best sellers in South America and Europe.
