A 37-year-old South Korean man has been arrested for stealing 1,400 pieces of female underwear for three years on an uncontrollable urge caused by a traffic accident, police said Monday.
Police said the man from the southern city of Pyeongtaek was accused of stealing female underwear mainly from clothes horses 80 times from June 2013. His previous criminal record was not disclosed.
The man told investigators that he began feeling an urge to steal female underwear after he was caught in a traffic accident during his middle school days. As evidence, police seized boxes packed with underwear from his room.
