iPhone7’s official 3.5 headphone adapter unveils in video: Leaks

A 3.5mm headphone adapter for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 is leaked online and it looks like the real stuff.

A set of images and a video was uploaded onto a Vietnamese IT blog (www. tinhte.vn), its author claiming the headphone adapter is legit and works with other iPhones with iOS 10 beta installed. The author claimed that the 3.5mm to Lightning adapter was picked up from Foxconn Apple supplier factory in Vietnam.

Since last year there were rumors that Apple will ditch 3.5mm headphone jacks in the future and would begin with iPhone7. The rumors brought infuriated anger from the hi-fi fans because the 3.5mm port is the most widely used method of connecting headphones, speakers, and earphones into an audio device.

However, despite how hard the fans prayed, the 3.5mm to Lightning adapter, according to some Apple experts. In one of the images from the Vietnamese IT blog, the end part of the Lightning port is removed to show the insides of it. It seems that the adapter has some kind of digital to analog converter (DAC) and is designed the way Apple engineers usually do. Maximizing in the utilization of space, its parts cramped in.

Apple has not yet responded to any rumors or leaked information. The company is to release information about the new iPhone in September.
