Actor Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller will be both returning for Deadpool's upcoming sequel.

During CinemaCon's event on Friday, 20th Century Fox executive Stacey Snider confirmed that the record-breaking R-rated superhero film is returning. Deadpool, unlike other Disney-Marvel superhero films, is an R-rated film filled with gore, violence, handful of sarcasm and insanity.

Last month the film starring the anti-hero Deadpool became the most earning R-rated movies of cinema history by earning US$ 757 million globally. The previous record holder was 2003's "The Matrix Reloaded", which earned $742 million.

R-rated film earning hundreds of millions of dollars is not a rare thing, but considering its limited viewers, it's very hard to achieve such money making. But Deadpool, filled with sarcasm, gore, and much other R-rated stuff managed to pull such an achievement. Considering that the main viewers of superhero films include the teens, Deadpool pulled quite a job.

Although Deadpool managed to break the record for the most earned R-rated film globally, it has a little more road ahead domestic-wise in the US. Deadpool made $349.5 million, but "The Passion of Christ" made $370.8 million.

Following Deadpool's success, many experts expect more R-rated superhero films to be released. An R-rated version of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is due to be released during the upcoming summer.
