Famed star, Psy is rocking the music world once again. Psy’s new music video (MV), “Daddy”, uploaded on YouTube reached its million marks in less than ten hours of its release.
Returned to the music scene with his 7th album “ChilzipPsyda” (when pronounced in Korean, it means ‘This is the seventh Psy’), Psy released double title songs named Daddy and “NapalBaji”.
But his comeback had a behind story. Psy felt that his fame from worldwide hit “Gangnam Style” was too much of a burden. “I don’t go to Gangnam Anymore.” He said, “Please do not compare the title song of my new album to Gangnam Style.” He said at a press conference, Monday.
It seems that his wish of having his new song not compared with Gangnam Style is impossible.
Daddy, released and uploaded on YouTube on December the 1st, has currently over eight million views accumulated. Also, Psy’s fans are creating many reaction videos having YouTube full of Psy. Reaction videos are fan-made video, which contains reaction of fans who watch the MV.
Psy’s another song Napal Baji is also hot on YouTube. Uploaded simultaneously with Daddy, it also has over eight million views and its numbers are rising fast.
Psy is to open the end-of-year concert starting from December 24 until 26 at Seoul Olympics Gymnastics Stadium.
