According to AndroidPolice, a newsgroup specialized in Android related news, LG Electronics have cancelled its release of new smart watch “Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE” indefinitely, Friday.

AndroidPolice wrote, “LG reached out to us moments ago with news that the company's upcoming smartwatch, the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, has been canceled due to an unspecified hardware issue. There is no word at this time if the device will be released at a later date, but for now, LG is calling this a full-on cancellation of the launch.”

It is not known what the hardware issue LG is having a problem with, but there are already fans in and outside Korea disappointed by the news. AT&T, which received pre-orders for the watch, is offering refunds shortly after LG contacting major IT newsgroups. According to TechCrunch’s report, Verizon won’t ship the watch to the consumers who pre-ordered.

The Urbane 2nd Edition was to be the first Android Wear smartwatch to support LTE data connection, voice call and other features which other smart watches do not support. Samsung’s “Gear S2” smartwatch supports mobile data connection and voice calls but it does not run on Android Wear but Samsung – developed “Tizen” OS.
