The 10th conference of the Overseas Chinese Media Cooperation Organization (OCM) will open in Seoul on Oct. 13, under the theme of "Creative Economy and Cultural and Tourism Cooperation," the organizers said Tuesday.

Delegates from 50 Chinese-language media outlets around the world will participate in the OCM Seoul meeting co-hosted by The Aju News Corporation in Seoul and the Wen Wei Po newspaper published in Hong Kong, they said.

On the sidelines of the 2015 conference, participating companies and public firms will hold a briefing session on investments. In addition, the K-Brand Awards ceremony will take place. There are two categories - beauty and health/food. Ten awardees will be selected in each category.

Since its inaugural conference in Beijing in 2004, the OCM has met in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Netherlands, Canada and Macau.

"Creative Economy" is a slogan adopted by the incumbent Park Geun-hye administration, which calls for bolstering the ICT sectors and enhancing national competitiveness through cooperation between ICT and other industries.
