"YeY" (예이 in Korean), the title song of the EP, took the top spot in eight music charts - Melon, Mnet.com, Olle Music, Bugs, Genie, Soribada, Monkey 3 Music and Samsung Music - immediately after its release.
The group unveiled the song's music video at 11 p.m. Friday as it was broadcast live online on Naver.
Other tracks contained in the EP were ranked near the top on some of the charts as well.
"Ordinary" is the band's first album in about 10 months. The group's hit songs include dance track "Good Luck" and slower ballad "12:30," both released in 2014.
