K-pop group Girls' Generation will join the so-called "girl-group battle" this summer. The group will make a comeback with a new single, titled "Party," on July 7, its management agency in Seoul said Tuesday. The single comes about one and a half years after the release of the band's fourth mini album "Mr. Mr." in February last year. The single's music video was filmed in Ko Samui, an island off the east coast of the Kra Isthmus, Thailand, according to the agency, SM Entertainment.

SISTAR's new mini album "Shake It" and AOA's third EP "Heart Attack" are already on the charts, while Apink is planning to make a comeback with a new album, titled "Pink Memory," on July 16. SISTAR's "Shake It," released a week ago, topped major local music charts for the eighth consecutive day Monday.
