Apple takes top spot in South Korean customer satisfaction for smartphones

Apple Inc. took the No. 1 spot in a South Korean customer satisfaction index for the second half of last year. According to a biannual report published by local market researcher Consumer Insight on Thursday, Apple scored 759 points out of possible 1,000 in its customer satisfaction index, while LG Electronics Co. earned 611 points to rank second. Samsung Electronics Co. and Pantech Co. were tied for third place with 580, said the report based on a survey of South Korean smartphone buyers.
