Amid public fears over MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome), a tourist wearing a face mask walks past a duty-free shop which remains nearly empty on Sunday at Incheon International Airport, the main gateway to South Korea. Health authorities Thursday reported three more deaths from MERS, which brought the death toll to 23. Three new cases of the viral respiratory disease were reported. This brought the total of confirmed cases to 165. The fatality rate of MERS patents in the country rose to 13.9 percent, the highest since the nation's first-ever MERS outbreak on May 20.
