Lee plays the drama scriptwriter, who is a single mother, in "Happy Facebook" directed by Park Hyun-jin, according to the agency, Signal Entertainment.
She played the Empress Myeongseong (1851-1895) in KBS2 TV's 2001 hit period drama "Empress Myeongseong." The empress, wife of Emperor Gojong, was killed in 1895 by Japanese assassins.
The main cast of "Happy Facebook" also includes actress Yoo Ah-in and actor Kim Joo-hyuk. Shooting will begin in mid-July, and the film will open in local cinemas in the first half of next year.
