Sexy K-pop girl group KARA will release its first album in nine months in May, its management agency, DSP Media, in Seoul said Tuesday.

The title of the band's seventh EP has yet to be decided, the agency said.

The quartet composed of Park Gyu-ri, Han Seung-yeon, Goo Ha-ra and Heo Young-ji presented its sixth EP, "Day & Night," in August last year, about a month after Heo joined the group in her capacity as winner of the cable TV MBC Music's audition program, "KARA project-KARA The Beginning." KARA had been a three-member band since Kang Ji-young and Nicole bolted from the group in early 2014.

The 2014 album contained six tracks including the lead single “Mamma Mia.”

The band, whose hit songs include “Mister,” “Lupin,” "Honey" and “Pandora,” has gained popularity in Japan as well as South Korea.
