The Korean TV manufacturers, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, sold a combined 87.05 million units last year, up 4.67 million from 2013, according to DisplaySearch. They had a combined 37.1 percent share of the market in 2014, up 0.9 percentage point from a year earlier.
In contrast, sales by Chinese and Japanese TV makers declined by 2.40 million and 3.21 million units to 51.2 million and to 44.16 million, respectively, it said.
