The Apple Watch will be available for purchase in nine countries - Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Britain and the United States - starting April 24, the company said during an Apple event in San Francisco on Monday (local time).
Preorders for the smartwatch will begin April 10, it said.
The Apple Watch comes in three distinct lines and various metals. The Apple Watch Sport collection made of aluminum is priced from US$349 and $399, depending on the size of the body (38mm or 42mm), while the Apple Watch collection made of stainless steel in silver and space grey ranges from $549 to $1,099. The Apple Watch Edition collection made of gold will retail for $10,000 and up and will be available in select stores.
