Operating profit reached 275.1 billion won in the October-December period, down 40.8 percent from a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The figure, however, represents a 28.4 percent rise from the same period of 2013.
LG said its sales rose 3.8 percent to 15,272.1 billion won in the October-December period from the previous period. It marks a 4.9 percent increase from a year earlier.
It said its net loss more than tripled to 205.7 billion won in the fourth quarter from 63.5 billion won a year earlier.
